NFL Viewing Schedule for Weeks 1-10 of 2026

The NFL released its 2026 schedule last week. I’m getting RedZone fatigue and think it was not as well done last season, so I’m mostly going to just watch complete games after they’re played via replay with NFL+. I benefit from not being part of group chats or anything which might spoil games while they’re being played, so this is the most efficient setup now since games are interminable without skipping commercials, at least. I usually do small skips between snaps even, unless the just-completed play was something I want to see a replay on. Fast forwarding through replay reviews is the best.

In the recent past, I’ve only done this with standalone games like Sunday Night Football, or a key day game where it’s a small number of other games that would be playing on RedZone, or all of the games aside from a very good game are things like Saints vs Cardinals.

I’ve compiled my schedule of games to watch for the first ten weeks of the season. Time listed is when I’d get to starting on the replay. The only RedZone time is the first window on the first Sunday of the season. Which might seem sentimental, to want to get a full picture of the league as it unfurls for the new season, but it’s not. There just isn’t a real good game in there, and the NFL actually did a pretty good job of avoiding dogsshit Sunday windows for these first ten weeks.

Week 11 is when schedule flexes can start running wild and I think, not coincidentally, that is a good time to start thinking differently about which games to watch depending on how the season is actually going. Who becomes a team to watch and who has nine torn ACLs on the roster?

If you can also eschew and social aspect of enjoying football, this guide is for you.

First Pass at NFL 2026 Win Totals

DraftKings has posted win totals for the next NFL season, about seven months away. There are quite a few numbers that look like there is an easy way to go but that way is -130 or -140. I took a couple of those but have a good number that I like with better payoffs too.

Here is where I’d put my money with what’s on offer now:

Bills UNDER 10.5 (+105)
The Bills have a pretty tough schedule and some serious downside potential this coming season. I’m not going to the mats for Sean McDermott, but the team wasn’t actually very good last year, even. There is a reason they still didn’t get to the Super Bowl even though the deck was allegedly cleared for Allen with no Mahomes or Jackson to have to beat. I am not very high on Joe Brady.

Dolphins UNDER 4.5 (-110)
Speaking of new coaches I am not high on, Jeff Hafley seems like he should have had to settle for the Cardinals or Raiders. That he didn’t and that he ends up here could be a sign of just how screwed this franchise is.

Browns OVER 6.5 (+100)
I hate to do this but it’s one of those where every instinct is just to shit on the Browns so hard that it can’t be right. Easy schedule. My instinct is also to shit on Todd Monken. But I kinda like the things that have come out of his mouth so far.

Texans OVER 9.5 (-110)
I think the CJ Stroud backlash is a little bit out of control at this point. They’re gonna play defense and half their games against the AFC North and NFC East.

Titans UNDER 6.5 (+115)
I’m glad Robert Saleh gets another shot after how it went down with the Jets but the Titans still friggin’ stink. There are limits to what can be done this quickly.

Broncos OVER 9.5 (-110)
I was able to counter all my instincts to take that Browns play, but this one I gotta just stick with those instincts if they’re gonna make it this easy. Feels like they should be tryin to trap people, but by putting up a 10.5.

Cowboys UNDER 8.5 (+115)
Price too good for this team with not much going for it.

Commanders OVER 7.5 (-110)
People too down on them. They don’t have to get back to anything close to their 2024 season to beat this.

Giants UNDER 7.5 (-130)
Price sucks but getting John Harbaugh is not an actual good thing anymore. His assistants would dictate how things go and Matt Nagy gets the OC job with help from Greg Roman. GTFOH.

Lions OVER 10.5 (-130)
Another bad price but the Lions should get better injury luck and they play nobody, relatively speaking, outside their division. The OC hire looks so tepid at first glance that you know it’s actually not and that Penzing has some stuff to offer coaching for a real NFL team and for Dan Campbell.

Bears UNDER 9.5 (-120)
Classic bounce team, a la the Commanders in 2025. Taking it even at -120.

Saints UNDER 7.5 (-120)
Classic dogshit team, a la the Saints in 2025.
